Lifebook

Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 September 2026

Lifebook (daybook.fyi) is a private, calm home for your day - your calendar, tasks, notes, mail and more, in one place. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have. Lifebook is operated by Robin Lumley-Savile. Questions? contact@daybook.fyi.

Your data belongs to you. We help you keep it in order - we don't profit from it.

Lifebook is paid for by its subscribers, never by advertisers and never by selling what you put in. We don't read your notes, we don't pass on your information, and we never use it to train AI. Your Lifebook is private to you - no other member can see it, and we don't look through it either. And because it's yours, you're never locked in: take everything with you whenever you want, or delete it for good in a single click.

What we collect

Google user data

If you connect your Google Calendar, Lifebook requests read and write access to your calendar events (the calendar.events scope) and your Google account email address, only so that:

Limited Use. Lifebook's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your Google Calendar data is used only to provide and improve the calendar features you see in Lifebook. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties or used to train any AI or machine-learning model.

How your data is used

We use your data solely to run Lifebook for you - to store your content, sign you in, show your calendar and mail, and deliver features you turn on (such as the morning brief). We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

The public pages of this site (home, privacy and terms) can use two analytics services - Google Analytics and VisitorTracking - to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These set cookies and collect usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location. They load only if you accept in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; choose Decline and neither one runs. Your choice is remembered on your device, and you can change it any time by clearing this site's cookies. These analytics run on the marketing pages only - never inside your signed-in Lifebook - and they never see your Lifebook content.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Access is scoped to your account alone - signing in needs a one-time code sent to your email (and, if you turn it on, a second factor from your authenticator app), so your email password alone isn't enough to get in.

The most sensitive things you entrust to Lifebook - your connected-account tokens and mailbox passwords - are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), so not even we can read them. We don't read your content, and we never sell it or use it to train any AI or machine-learning model. When you delete something, it's deleted.

Sharing your data

We don't share your personal data with third parties, except the infrastructure and service providers strictly needed to run Lifebook (for example Cloudflare for hosting, and Google's own APIs when you connect Google Calendar). Content you explicitly choose to share with another Lifebook member is shared only as you direct. We never sell your data, and we never hand it to advertisers.

Your control - take it, or delete it

Because your data is yours, you're never locked in:
