These terms are the agreement between you and Lifebook (daybook.fyi), a calm, private home for your day, operated by Robin Lumley-Savile. By creating an account or using Lifebook, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
You sign in with your email. You're responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure, and for what happens under your account. Tell us at contact@daybook.fyi if you think someone else has gained access.
Everything you put into Lifebook - your tasks, notes, tables, events, journal entries and the rest - remains yours. You grant Lifebook only the permission needed to store, process and display that content back to you, and to anyone you explicitly choose to share it with, so the service can work. We don't claim ownership of it, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
Lifebook itself - its software, source code, design, look and feel, and the "Lifebook" name and logo - belongs to us and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Using Lifebook doesn't transfer any of those rights to you beyond the permission to use the service under these terms.
If you connect another service - such as your Google Calendar or an email mailbox - you authorise Lifebook to access it on your behalf to provide the related features, and your use of that service also remains subject to that provider's own terms. You can disconnect at any time. How we handle data from connected services is described in our Privacy Policy.
Please use Lifebook lawfully and reasonably. You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:
We may suspend or close an account immediately for any breach of this section, and pursue any remedy available to us in law or equity, including injunctive relief.
Lifebook is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It's a small, independently run service - we work to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change or be withdrawn. We'll give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
Some features are offered on paid plans. Where a plan is paid, the price and what it includes are shown at the point you choose it. Free periods and trials, where offered, are described when granted.
You can stop using Lifebook and close your account at any time from Settings, which removes your data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the service.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lifebook is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Keep your own copies of anything important (you can export your data from Settings). Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know. Continuing to use Lifebook after a change means you accept the updated terms.
